Add your short artist bio here.Sandra Horta is an artist who, through her voice, her style of interpretation, her versatility and her presence on stage, represents Cape Verde in the colors of the world, interpreting themes from her country with influences from world musical genres: mornas, funanás and batuques are colored with afrojazz. , flamenco or fado, recreating a Cape Verdean universe of her own.

Nominated twice for Cape Verde's official music awards, her songs address the themes of women, the environment, love for others and children's education, revealing her concern with social issues, having received a distinction from the Government of Cape Verde, UNICEF and UNFPA for his work on behalf of children.

She began her professional career with Tito Paris and developed through participation in several theater, fashion and dance projects and in concerts with renowned artists in several countries and on different stages in Portugal, Spain, France and Angola.

 

After working with producers such as Habib Faye (bassist and musical director of Youssou Ndour) and Diogo Clemente (producer of fado singer Mariza), she recently released her first EP entitled Primavera, composed of compositions by Mário Lúcio, Orlando Pantera and Fernando Araújo, produced by Tito Paris and with the participation of the Portuguese String Orchestra. She created  projects to promote Cape Verde through live music and to join artists and children in the service of the planet that were very acclaimed un her country.

 

She is currently preparing her first album of originals, where she intends to reveal the different facets of her personality as a woman and artist, with different sounds and producers, designed to contribute to the promotion of Cape Verde and its cultural diversity.
